Comments:
In the development of the ino colour variety the fallow factor is put in circuit. Maybe to breed the rubino. Fallow and ino have both eumelanin mutation factors. The reduction of the eumelanin in the fallow is already 75% in the barbs and 50% in the barbules. The ino factor causes a 100% reduction. So, we can’t make difference between a colour variety of the ino-fallow and a colour variety of the ino. The best combination is cock 4 x hen 1. For intensifying the psittacine colours we have to fallows with a lot of red.

There are some reasons to avoid the combination of ino and fallow varieties: The ino has red eyes, the fallow has red eyes too. Combination of birds with red eyes can give eye sight problems. Because both varieties has red eyes we can’t find out if the young is fallow or ino, in an early stadium in the nest.
